We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer to support USSF in the development of a next‑generation satellite testbed environment. In this role, you will contribute to the design and implementation of both flight‑software‑representative applications and ground station software used to exercise, validate, and integrate space system behaviors. You will work within an advanced hardware‑in‑the‑loop flat‑satellite test configuration that simulates spacecraft functions. As part of a collaborative engineering team, you will participate across the software lifecycle—including requirements interpretation, architecture, implementation, integration, automated testing, and system troubleshooting. You will develop high‑reliability C software as your primary responsibility, with additional tasks in C++ and Python to support scripting, test automation, and tooling. You will regularly report progress and technical status to the software lead and contribute to a fast‑paced Agile environment focused on mission readiness. Strong communication, problem‑solving skills, and a commitment to quality are essential for success in this role.
