Software Development Manager, Platform Engineering

For our client, we are seeking a Software Development Manager, Platform Engineering to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space. This leader will oversee a Platform/DevOps engineering team responsible for delivering business-critical applications and strengthening the technical foundation that supports internal customers and broader engineering productivity. The role will balance people leadership, execution discipline, and platform reliability across cloud infrastructure initiatives. This is a hands-on leadership opportunity to improve Kubernetes environments, CI/CD practices, and incident response maturity in a multi-region AWS setting. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $148,000 – $264,990 annually Responsibilities Lead and mentor a high-performing Platform/DevOps engineering team Own the delivery of business applications, managing roadmap execution and risk Establish and enhance SLOs and incident response practices Partner with cross-functional teams to align priorities and progress Evolve Kubernetes/EKS environments across multi-region architectures Drive best practices in GitOps and CI/CD with various tools Build developer-friendly workflows to improve productivity Qualifications 3+ years of experience in people leadership roles 7+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure or related fields Proven track record of delivering business-critical applications on AWS Expertise in AWS services such as EKS, EC2, and S3 Hands-on experience with Kubernetes operations and security practices Proficiency in CI/CD pipeline construction and GitOps Strong programming skills in Python, Java, TypeScript, or Node.js Benefits Comprehensive health and financial benefits Generous PTO and time-off policies Everyday wellness initiatives Support for in-person onboarding and identity verification A strong emphasis on a culture of belonging Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
