About the role

We are establishing a new team to own the end-to-end lifecycle of supply chain catalog data. We will tackle some of the most exciting challenges in catalog technology at massive scale: leveraging Large Language Models (LLMs) to validate supply chain catalog quality. This initiative directly impacts Amazon's bottom-line reducing operational costs for Selling Partners and Fulfillment Centers while driving revenue growth by enabling expanded selection.

Responsibilities

  • Drive technical vision and architecture making strategic decisions that balance innovation with operational excellence
  • Manage stakeholder communications and project visibility across organizations
  • Lead and grow a high-performing engineering team through effective hiring, mentoring, and career development while fostering an inclusive Agile/Scrum environment
  • Own end-to-end delivery, including planning, execution, and metric-driven success measurement
  • Balance business requirements against technical constraints
  • Establish robust monitoring, alerting, and automation systems to maintain operational excellence
  • Drive technical innovation through complex distributed systems design, ML/AI implementation and continuous process improvement
  • Establish technical best practices for critical catalog platform services

Requirements

The ideal candidate thrives in ambiguous, high-scale environments and can drive cross-functional alignment across Amazon Fulfillment Technology and procurement stakeholders to deliver catalog data that is structured, governed, and optimized for operational use.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of engineering team management experience
  • 7+ years of working directly within engineering teams experience
  • 3+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
  • 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience
  • Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations
  • Experience partnering with product or program management teams

Skills

Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy

Base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.

USA, WA, Seattle - 184,900.00 - 250,200.00 USD annually
