Software Development Manager, Amazon FSx for Windows
About the role
We are looking for a Software Development Manager to play a leadership role on the growing Amazon FSx for Windows service. This service provides a fully-managed Windows filesystem for AWS customers in various verticals, and recently launched improved management capabilities with the introduction of FSRM support. You will join our team in Boston's Seaport to manage Windows filesystems at an unprecedented scale.
Key job responsibilities
- Lead a team of software engineers in delivering and maintaining high-quality services
- Hire, mentor, and promote engineers
- Collaborate with teams across AWS to build new solutions
- Create mechanisms to ensure the highest standards within your team
- Work with product managers, principal engineers, and senior leadership to define the technical roadmap and strategy for FSx

Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of engineering team management experience
- 7+ years of working directly within engineering teams experience
- 3+ years of designing or architecting new and existing systems experience
- 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi-tier web services experience
- Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and live-site operations
- Experience partnering with product or program management teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy
- Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching, and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills and make them more effective
Pay
The base salary range for this position is $184,900.00 - $250,200.00 USD annually.
