Software Development Engineer, Seller

About the role

The Amazon Marketplace enables over 2 million third-party Sellers in eleven marketplaces to offer their products for sale to Amazon customers across the world. This role involves building a transformative greenfield GenAI initiative from the ground up, focusing on agentic AI and distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Build a unified intelligent workbench consolidating fragmented systems into an AI-powered platform.
• Design and implement AI-native backend services integrating enterprise CRM systems with operational platforms using AWS cloud platform and its many products.
• Develop intelligent automation capabilities across core business modules including AI assistants, communication management, contact management, and workflow orchestration.
• Architect highly scalable solutions serving thousands of users across multiple regions with specialized requirements.
• Partner with Applied Science teams to incorporate generative AI capabilities.
• Deliver features with 25%+ productivity gains through properly groomed requirements and AI-first thinking.
• Own systems architecture end to end and influence the direction of technology that impacts hundreds of millions of customers around the world.

Requirements

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 3+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
• 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
• 3+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using: C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
• 3+ years of Object Oriented Design experience.
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.

Qualifications

• Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.

Pay

Base salary range: $143,700.00 - $194,400.00 USD annually
