Software Development Engineer II, Payments Security

Responsibilities

• Design, architect, develop, test, deploy, and deliver scalable, multi-tiered software applications or services using modern languages, design patterns, frameworks, and technologies.
• Collaborate closely with security engineering teams to design and implement security features and multi-tier distributed services.
• Estimate engineering effort, plan implementation, and rollout system changes that meet requirements for functionality, performance, scalability, reliability, and adherence to development goals and principles.
• Collaborate effectively in a fast-paced organization with multiple teams.

Requirements

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-driven and capable of delivering high-quality results.
• Customer obsession, deeply understanding and improving customer experience.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 3+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience.
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent, or 4+ years of computer science fundamentals experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in computer science or equivalent.
• 5+ years of full software development life cycle experience.
• Experience with programming languages like Python, JavaScript, Go, .Net, Java or equivalent.
• Experience in AWS cloud-native development, infrastructure as code.
• Experience in security systems (identify & access management, threat detection, cryptography).
