Software Development Engineer II, AI/ML Elastic Collectives - Annapurna Labs
About the role
Annapurna Labs, a crucial part of AWS, is responsible for developing hardware and software components for EC2 infrastructure. Our team focuses on building networking solutions that for Machine Learning (ML) and High-Performance Computing (HPC) workloads on AWS.
Responsibilities
- Solve hard problems related to distributed AI/ML systems
- Work on collective operations enabling AI to scale across multiple accelerators & servers
- Develop software and systems that optimize the AWS customer experience
- Collaborate with infrastructure experts, hardware engineers, RTL engineers, scientists & architects
- Work in a global team spanning numerous countries
- Take on complex tasks and mentor junior engineers
Requirements
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- Knowledge of Linux fundamentals
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- Knowledge of Python and/or C++ programming
Skills
Experience with C/C++, knowledge of Linux, and familiarity with embedded systems and high-speed networking or HPC interconnects are valued.

Pay
The base salary range for this position is $165,200.00 - $223,600.00 USD annually.
