About the role

This position involves on-call responsibilities typically for two weeks every 2-3 months. We don't like to get paged in the middle of the night or on the weekend, so we work to ensure our systems are fault tolerant. When we do get paged, we work together to resolve the root cause to prevent pages for the same issues twice.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the network route between the AWS region and Outposts site
  • Manage EC2 instances platforms running at customer sites
  • Support the deployment of core infrastructure of AWS Outposts services and EC2 Edge networking instances
  • Build and manage systems in scale
  • Work on software defined networking and low-level programming
  • Develop high performant applications with limited resources

Requirements

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience
  • 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience
  • 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using: C#, C++, Java, or Perl
  • 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field

Qualifications

  • Basic Qualifications: 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience, 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience, 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience, 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using: C#, C++, Java, or Perl experience, 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience, Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, 1+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
  • Preferred Qualifications: 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent, experience programming with at least one software programming language

Skills

  • Experience with C#, C++, Java, or Perl

Pay

$143,700.00 - $194,400.00 USD annually

Schedule
