Software Development Engineer, AWS Cryptography

About the role

The AWS Secrets Management team is responsible for managing and distributing credentials and secrets across millions of hosts deployed for internal Amazon use and AWS customers. We are building and delivering the next generation of cloud computing security that supports the public AWS offerings like S3, EC2, and CloudFront.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using: C#, C++, Java, or Perl
• Implement and maintain secure credential and secret management systems
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement secure solutions
• Perform code reviews and contribute to the overall quality of the codebase
• Support the deployment and operation of cloud-based security systems

Requirements

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience
• 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using: C#, C++, Java, or Perl
• 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field

Qualifications

• Experience programming with at least one software programming language
