Software Development Engineer, Atlas

About the role

The Atlas team is responsible for developing and maintaining the critical software infrastructure that enables multi-region telemetry data ingestion, health monitoring, and trend analysis across Amazon's Leo systems. The team builds and manages foundational data pipelines and analytics systems, ensuring high availability, performance, and scalability.

Responsibilities

• Create software systems that meet mission criteria and requirements.
• Collaborate with team members to form a strong foundation for a software organization in Leo.
• Help onboard new team members.
• Utilize AWS and other Amazon technologies to build high-available software services.

Requirements

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 3+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
