Responsibilities
- Responsible for software web applications required to support the 5th Space Launch Squadron.
- Maintains, extends or rewinds existing applications, or creates new applications which can be accessed from multiple groups, bases and domains.
- Develops and provides user and leadership training for existing or newly developed applications.
- Provides regular status updates to customer technical leads and participates in and leads agile software development methodologies.
- Works as an integral team member of the software development team including individual and virtual pair programming.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or in a STEM discipline, 1.5 years of Software Development experience may be accepted in lieu of each 1 year of education/degree requirement.
- 3+ years of experience as a Software Engineer, programmer, or software developer with 1 year DoD or Launch/Range experience.
- Development experience using the following or equivalent: VueJS, GIT, JSON, HTML5/CSS3/JavaScript, asynchronous programming, UX design, C#, Database Management.
- Experience using software development planning tools, and task automation tools.
- CompTIA Security+ certification or ability to obtain certification within 6 months of hire.
Qualifications
- Additional desired qualifications include development experience with the following: CI/CD, PostgreSQL, Mongo DB, Visual Studio 2017 or Later, Angular JS, ASP.NET Web Forms, ASP.NET MVC, ASP.NET Web API, Windows Identity Framework, .NET 4 or later, .NET Core 3.0, REST, Python, Flask, Web Services, Active Directory, virtualization (VMware), virtualized architecture, SQL Server with SSRS, performance enhancement, backup/recover, and scheduled jobs, Power Automate, Jira, Confluence, Mattermost, website design and layout, digital tools and architectures, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Analysis, administration of Windows Server 2012 R2 or later, Windows Server 2022, Internet Information Server 7.5 or later.
- Familiarity with Cape Canaveral Space Force Station (CCSFS) facilities, processes, providers and operations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, commercial business applications, and cloud-hosted platforms and applications.
