About the role
The Developer Experience organization owns the entire path from commit to satellite. This is a unique opportunity to offer this scope to platform engineers. We will build a unified platform that empowers Leo engineers to see their code affect satellite operations within days, not weeks, months, or a quarter.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for developer experience across the entire Leo, CI/CD and production services.
- Work closely with Sr. Engineers and principal engineers and Sr. Principal Engineers, application teams, identify and address common issues, drive solutions, and improve overall release quality, reliability and operational excellence.
- Join a start-up team to build self-serve platform, automation, tools that enable Leo engineers to ship high quality software to space and ground, rapidly, securely and at scale.
Requirements
- 3+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
- 3+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
- 3+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using: C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
- 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience.
