Software Development Engineer, Ads Experience Framework

About the role

Amazon Advertising is rapidly expanding, delivering powerful tools that help vendors and sellers maximize their advertising spend. The Advertiser Experience Frameworks team is building innovative agent framework and portal services, including the Amazon Ads Agent Chat (A3C) system that enables AI agents to assist advertisers via conversational interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Own the design and implementation of major deliverables end‑to‑end across the entire technology stack—from frontend to API layer, database, infrastructure, and agent architecture.
• Build scalable, well‑designed software services that reduce engineering complexity while preserving partner teams’ autonomy to innovate.
• Leverage AI throughout the development lifecycle for coding, debugging, and problem‑solving, embracing AI‑assisted development practices to increase productivity.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non‑internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non‑internship design or architecture experience (design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and existing systems.
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
• 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
• Knowledge of large language model (LLM) concepts, context management, and memory systems.
• Experience with AI‑assisted development tools and practices.

Compensation

The base salary range for this position is $158,100 – $213,800 USD annually. The total Amazon package includes sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location.
