Software Development Engineer, Ads AI Core Infra (ACI)

About the role

Advertisers will spend tens of billions of dollars this year leveraging Amazon advertising to grow their business. We are seeking exceptional software engineers to build the next generation of tools these advertisers rely on to control their advertising efforts across multiple ad products in the Amazon Advertising portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Build large scale, high velocity distributed systems to service 100’s of millions of API requests per day.
• Stream data at PB scale and process business logic on tight latency budgets.
• Stream data to 20+ other services to perform other critical advertising functions.
• Stand up world class CI/CD pipelines to automate infrastructure provisioning, high volume load testing, and first-rate monitoring.
• Work on concurrent workflows across distributed systems, big data problems, and performance optimization using AWS services like ECS, Fargate, EC2, EMR, Lambda, Kafka, Elastic Search, Dynamo DB, SQS, SNS, Cloud watch, CDK, Cloud Formation, etc.

Requirements

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Skills

• Experience with AWS services such as ECS, Fargate, EC2, EMR, Lambda, Kafka, Elastic Search, Dynamo DB, SQS, SNS, Cloud watch, CDK, Cloud Formation, etc.
• Experience with distributed systems, linearizability, eventual consistency, big data problems, propagation delay, ordering and hygiene, and performance optimization.

Pay

The base salary range for this position is $158,100.00 - $213,800.00 annually.
