About the role

This is a remote role based in Redmond, WA. Pay Range: $60/hr – $62/hr

Key Responsibilities

  • Modify existing databases and database management systems to optimize performance and functionality.
  • Write and code logical and physical database descriptions, and specify identifiers for database management systems, or guide others in coding these descriptions.
  • Collaborate as part of a project team to coordinate database development efforts and define project scope and limitations.
  • Review project requests detailing user needs to accurately estimate the time and cost required for project completion.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a relevant technical field.
  • 5-7 years of professional experience in software development or a related field.
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-service oriented approach.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Prior proven ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and prioritize time effectively.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the full software development lifecycle, from business analysis and requirements gathering to development, testing, and delivery.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting issues and implementing necessary system changes to resolve them.
  • Solid understanding of computer hardware and software principles.
  • Familiarity with database management systems and development software, including technologies like SQL and VisualBasic.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with industrial control systems.
  • Demonstrated expertise in automation development.
  • Strong capabilities in artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML).
  • Proven experience in process improvement initiatives.
  • A proactive mindset with a demonstrated willingness to challenge and enhance existing processes.
