Software Development Engineer 1
About the Role
Software Engineer 1 (Integrated Engineers) are responsible for the development of computer programming systems and applications, including the design, coding, testing, and deployment of products and solutions to meet firm obligations. This role specializes in software design, development, and testing for software enhancements and new products, including cloud-based or internet-related tools.
The role involves conducting and evaluating application audits and testing processes to ensure defined quality standards are met. It may also include creating documentation for future managers and engineers to address potential issues.
In addition to software design and development, this role requires in-depth knowledge of automated testing tools and traditional quality assurance approaches.

Cloud Development:
Focuses on the development, deployment, and maintenance of applications and computing solutions hosted entirely on web-based platforms. Responsibilities include planning, designing, developing, testing, and troubleshooting cloud-based applications across the complete cloud stack (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS) using platforms like Salesforce.com, Microsoft Office 365, Windows Azure, Google App Engine, and Amazon Web Services/EC2. Requires an in-depth understanding of cloud storage services such as EBS, Amazon S3, and EFS, as well as integration of cloud applications using APIs, pre-scripting, post-scripting, and integration testing.

Mobile Development:
Focuses on the development of software applications for proprietary or licensable mobile devices and platforms. Responsibilities include planning, designing, developing, and testing applications for Android, iOS, and other mobile platforms. Collaborates with analysts, developers, and project managers to determine requirements, appearance, and functionality of custom mobile applications. Designs and codes applications using knowledge of mobile platforms, cross-platform development tools, and relevant software languages. May also work on mobile security areas such as mobile data management. Provides support for released applications by fixing bugs and uploading upgraded versions.
Requires expert knowledge of integrated development platforms such as Xamarin, Kony, Appcelerator, EMM/MDM, iOS SDK, and Android SDK.
Pay
Base pay range: $75,200.00 - $95,300.00. Actual pay rates will vary based on qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. Base pay is one component of the total compensation package.
Most sales positions are eligible for commission under an applicable plan. Non-sales roles are typically eligible for a quarterly or annual bonus based on role and applicable plan.
