Software Development Director
Responsibilities
- Organizational Leadership: Lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing engineering organization, ensuring the professional growth of individual contributors, managers, and senior managers.
- Architecture & Delivery: Oversee software architecture, development, debugging, and enhancement activities in line with provided design specifications and business requirements. Advocate for and drive improvements within existing architectures, guiding your teams in delivering resilient and scalable solutions.
- Strategy & Roadmap: Define and execute the technology roadmap and operational strategies for datacenter automation, ensuring alignment with OCI’s priorities and evolving industry trends—especially as they relate to AI and cloud-scale operations.
- Cross-Functional Partnership: Serve as a key liaison between software engineering, product, datacenter operations, and support teams; orchestrate internal and external resources to deliver successful project outcomes.
- Performance Management: Set clear, measurable goals at all organizational levels; monitor progress and hold teams accountable for achieving key deliverables.
- Strategic Communication: Articulate forward-looking plans, strategies, and project outcomes to executive leadership and stakeholders, ensuring widespread understanding, support, and alignment.
- Talent Development: Lead by example in identifying and nurturing talent, conducting career development conversations, and promoting a culture of continuous learning and advancement.
Qualifications

- Hiring Range in USD: $169,800 - $355,400 per year. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
- Benefits: Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business. Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation. 11 paid holidays Paid sick leave: 72 hours of paid sick leave upon date of hire. Refreshes each calendar year. Unused balance will carry over each year up to a maximum cap of 112 hours.
