About the role

This is a full-time, on-site Software Development role based in Okemos, MI. The Software Developer will design, build, and maintain features for Noventix Global, focusing on reliable, scalable, and secure code.

Responsibilities

• Program new functionality and integrate and optimize databases
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
• Collaborate with product and design teams to refine requirements
• Review code and improve system performance
• Contribute to technical documentation and best practices
• Participate in agile ceremonies and give and receive feedback constructively
• Help continually improve the platform’s user experience for recruiters and job seekers

Requirements

• Strong skills in Software Development and Programming, with experience building and maintaining production systems
• Hands-on experience working with Databases (design, queries, optimization, integration with applications)
• Proficiency with Linux environments, including command-line tools, scripting, and basic system troubleshooting
• Practical experience developing applications in Java, including object-oriented design and modern frameworks
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software engineering best practices (testing, version control, code review)
• Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience

Qualifications

• Experience with web services or APIs, cloud platforms, and security-conscious development is a plus
