About the role
Milliman Mortgage Solutions is a leading mortgage risk modeling platform that helps clients evaluate opportunities, monitor market trends, and manage portfolio risk. Our team is seeking a Software Developer to join our Milwaukee-area team and help build secure, scalable cloud applications that bring predictive models and analytics into production.
Responsibilities
- Design and maintain scalable cloud-based web applications using C#, .NET Core, SQL and Azure among other technologies.
- Develop and consume RESTful APIs to enable secure communication between systems and services.
- Ensure software quality through unit testing, clean and maintainable code, and participation in code reviews.
- Monitor application performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement optimizations as necessary.
- Collaborate with product, data, and cross-functional teams to gather requirements for software solutions.
- Write technical specifications based on conceptual design and stated business requirements.
- Take ownership of assigned modules or projects with minimal supervision.
- Follow Milliman’s established company standards and software development best practices.
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following industry best practices and coding standards.
- Adhere to all Milliman risk management requirements and protocols.
Requirements
- 2+ years of professional experience in full-stack software development.
- Strong experience with C#, .NET Core, and SQL.
- Proficient in building and integrating RESTful API’s.
- Solid understanding of database design and data-driven applications.

- Ability to work directly with non-technical staff and client stakeholders to understand and assess needs and feedback.
