About The Role
The Junior Oracle Software Developer role at CGI Federal offers an exciting opportunity to support the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) and the Defense Agencies Initiative (DAI). This position involves working within a large-scale Oracle E Business Suite (EBS) environment hosted in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
The successful candidate will support technical enhancements, data workflows, and cloud integration patterns, contributing to the development of components that improve system clarity, data quality, and integration performance.
This remote position is ideal for individuals seeking hands-on experience with enterprise systems, cloud services, and software development in a federal environment. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including SMEs, architects, and test teams, participating in Agile sprints and program increment cycles to deliver impactful solutions.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2+ years of software development experience
- Proficiency in PL/SQL and understanding of Oracle database fundamentals
- Familiarity with cloud concepts, preferably Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
- Basic knowledge of REST APIs
- Ability to obtain and maintain IT II Non Critical Sensitive suitability clearance
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities
Responsibilities
- Develop and support PL/SQL code and Oracle EBS technical components
- Create OCI-based services such as functions, APIs, and cloud data objects
- Implement logic to ensure system traceability and integration readiness
- Support structured data import and validation processes compatible with Oracle Fusion Cloud or Accounting Hub journal patterns
- Affiliate in documentation and participate in Agile development activities
- Collaborate with functional SMEs, architects, and test teams during Agile sprints and Program Increment (PI) cycles
- Support technical enhancements and cloud integration efforts to optimize system performance
