Responsibilities
- Design and develop robust, scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
- Build and maintain cloud infrastructure and serverless solutions on AWS.
- Implement and manage Redis caching layers to optimize application performance.
- Develop and maintain search and analytics capabilities using OpenSearch.
- Configure and integrate Keycloak for identity and access management, SSO, and OAuth2/OIDC workflows.
- Implement and maintain PKI/SSL certificate management and secure communications across services.
- Collaborate with DevOps and architecture teams to support CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native deployments.
- Participate in code reviews, technical planning sessions, and Agile sprint ceremonies.
- Troubleshoot and resolve performance bottlenecks, security issues, and system defects.
Requirements
- 3 - 6 years of software development experience with a strong Java background.
- Hands-on experience with Spring Boot for building RESTful APIs and microservices.
- Proficiency with AWS services including but not limited to EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, and DynamoDB.
- Experience with PostgreSQL via AWS RDS for relational data modeling and query optimization.
- Experience with Redis for caching and session management.
- Experience with OpenSearch or Elasticsearch for search and log analytics.
- Familiarity with PKI/SSL certificate lifecycle management, TLS configuration, and secure service communication.
- Experience with Keycloak or comparable identity providers (Okta, Auth0, etc.) for IAM integration.
Qualifications
- DoD, federal, or cleared environment experience is a plus.
- Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS/EKS).
- Exposure to infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or AWS CDK.
- Experience with event-driven architectures and messaging systems (Kafka, SQS, SNS).
Skills
- Nice to have AWS certifications (Developer Associate, Solutions Architect, or equivalent).
- Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS/EKS).
- Exposure to infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or AWS CDK.
- Experience with event-driven architectures and messaging systems (Kafka, SQS, SNS).
