About the role

Ensures application of systems thinking principles, enabling team members to independently design, code, test, and deploy software.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities

• Provides necessary documentation to support the Software Development Life Cycle.
• Develops prototypes and solutions leveraging a diverse range of technology.
• Applies modern principles, methodologies, tools, and systemic processes to support the launch of new business capabilities.
• Leverages AI concepts to modernize integration points between upstream and downstream systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of hardware, software, and networks.
• 10+ years in working COBOL/Mainframe programming.
• Experience in modernization efforts for Mainframe programming using AI.
• Proven track record of leading junior level programmers including coaching and code review.

Minimum Education

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or information systems and two years coding experience in a professional environment.
• Formal completion of a bootcamp certification and two years work experience in operations, business or technical field and two years coding experience in a professional environment.
• Bachelor’s degree and formal completion of a bootcamp certification and two years coding experience in a professional environment.
• Bachelor’s degree and two years work experience in technical field and two years coding experience in a professional environment.

Domicile Information

This position is eligible for remote work and may be located anywhere within the United States excluding AK, HI and U.S. territories, however if you live within the 50 miles radius of a campus you will be required to work at a FedEx campus location several times per week.
