Software Developer – Identity & Access Management (IAM)
About the role
The Software Developer – IAM will collaborate with the Project Manager, Development Lead, and team members to plan, design, and prototype the implementation of secure user authentication mechanisms for web-based applications. The primary focus is to deliver a robust MFA solution leveraging industry-available and a customer-preferred IdP solution.
Responsibilities
- Develop and integrate user authentication workflows with web-based applications
- Implement password policies and account recovery flows
- Manage complex work activities in a deadline-driven environment
- Collaborate with the Project Manager, Development Lead, and team members to plan, design, and prototype the implementation of secure user authentication mechanisms for web-based applications
- Deliver a robust MFA solution leveraging industry-available and a customer-preferred IdP solution
- Work on mission-critical systems that provide clear value to end users and our federal government clients
Requirements
- Relevant development experience
- Hand-on with identity provider (IdP) solutions (e.g., AWS Cognito, Okta, Microsoft Entra ID, and/or Login.gov)
- Understanding of cloud architecture
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Experience building and integrating RESTful APIs
- Knowledge and implementation of MFA solutions, specifically AWS Cognito, Okta, Microsoft Entra ID, and/or Login.gov
- Experience with DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines, and version control
- Experience with AWS GovCloud services, specifically Cognito, Lambda, S3, EC2, and API Gateway
- Software delivery using the Agile Scrum or Kanban methodology via Jira
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) plus Active listening skills
- Ability to discuss technical issues with non-technical government officials
- Ability to problem-solve and develop solutions to complex business needs
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field with five (5) or more years of relevant experience in an Enterprise IT environment
- No Bachelor’s Degree with seven (7) or more years of relevant experience in an Enterprise IT environment
- Proficiency in one or more languages: JavaScript/TypeScript (Node.js, React, Angular), Java / Spring Boot, Python, JSON
Skills
- Knowledge and management of AWS GovCloud services, specifically Cognito, Lambda, S3, EC2, and API Gateway

Benefits
Our estimated salary range for this position is $100,000 - $160,000, this presented salary range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Offered salary is based on experience, geographic location, and possibly contractual requirements as appropriate to the role. *Salary could fall outside of this range.

Schedule
This is a full-time position with 3 days per week onsite in Tysons Corner, VA.
