About the role

G2 Software Systems is an employee-owned defense software company delivering mission-critical solutions that protect lives. Founded in 1989 in San Diego, this woman-founded small business provides defense engineering solutions spanning custom software, AI/ML, cybersecurity, MBSE, logistics, and federal acquisition support for DoD air defense, counter-drone, secure communications, logistics, and C4ISR operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform software engineering that includes software planning, requirements analysis, design, development, integration, testing, debugging, and installing large scale software systems

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 3+ years of software programming experience in Java and JavaScript libraries/frameworks for full stack web application development
• Experience in Agile Software Engineering Processes and Life Cycle
• Experience working within automated development/build environments leveraging tools such as Git/GitLab/Bitbucket, Jira, Confluence, etc.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting using effective communication and writing skills
• Must be a US citizen and either have, or be able to obtain and maintain, a DoD clearance

Preferred qualifications

• 5+ years of software programming experience in Java and JavaScript libraries/frameworks for full stack web application development
• Experience with software development for relational databases such as H2 DB

Pay

$120,000 – $150,000 per year
