Software Developer for Integration of Augmented Reality Applications with Wireless Engineering

We have open software development positions (part and full-time) for professionals and students (B.Sc., M.Sc.) in augmented reality application development. The new members will join our XR-Wireless startup team, leading the development of integrated AR and wireless technologies.

The Chair for Distributed Signal Processing at RWTH Aachen University specializes in cutting-edge augmented reality solutions for 6G wireless communications. We are at the forefront of revolutionizing user experiences through immersive AR applications for the test and measurement industry. Responsibilities

  • Develop augmented reality applications using C# and Unity for wireless industry applications (e.g., test and measurement, mobile robotics, autonomous driving).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful integration of AR applications and development of advanced solutions.
  • Work with industry and academic partners to test new application solutions and set up proof-of-concepts.
  • Optimize performance and efficiency of AR applications.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in AR development.
  • Participate in industry trade shows and exhibitions.

Requirements

  • BSc or MSc degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field (final year graduates are welcome to apply).
  • Solid experience in software development with a focus on C# and Unity.
  • Proficiency in C# programming language and the .NET framework.
  • Proven track record of developing augmented reality applications (for HoloLens, headsets, or other devices).
  • Solid knowledge of Unity and experience with AR development frameworks.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to effectively convey technical concepts.
  • Understanding of wireless communication protocols and technologies is a plus.
