Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain web applications that improve internal workflows and business efficiency.
- Enhance legacy systems by extending features, modernizing functionality, and developing new application components when needed.
- Investigate reported issues, identify root causes, and implement effective fixes for defects discovered by end users.
- Evaluate project requests, estimate development effort, and recommend technical approaches that align with sound design principles.
- Perform developer testing, coordinate end-to-end validation with users, and support successful acceptance in non-production environments.
- Apply established development guidelines for coding standards, naming practices, and user interface consistency.
- Support deployment activities by following approved procedures for moving enhancements and fixes into production.
- Prepare and share technical knowledge, design details, and supporting documentation with training and documentation teams.
- Collaborate with business users to gather requirements and help shape system designs that meet operational needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- At least 5 years of .NET development experience focused on web-based applications.
- Strong programming experience with C# and the .NET Framework.
- Hands-on experience developing web services and Web API solutions.
- Proficiency with Microsoft SQL Server and related data access technologies, including Entity Framework.
- Solid front-end development skills with JavaScript; experience with React.js is highly desirable.
- Ability to work with both newly developed applications and established legacy systems in a business environment.
Qualifications
- Experience with web development frameworks such as ASP.NET MVC.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies and iterative development processes.
- Experience with version control systems like Git.
- Understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
- Experience with database design and optimization techniques.
- Good understanding of software design patterns and principles.
