About the role
This is a grant-funded position and reassignment will be based upon performance, progress toward research goals and continuation of funding. Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for any employer without sponsorship.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and administer databases.
- Design, develop, implement, maintain, and enhance web-based and computer-based information systems to ensure efficiency and accuracy to meet research and project needs.
- Develop and migrate legacy code to current standards.
- Document code, technical and business processes and iteratively refine user documentation and technical specifications.
- Develop and maintain standards, process improvements and documentation.
- Maintain a robust and reliable information system infrastructure including, standards, process improvements and documentation.
- Provide technical support, guidance, and training to both internal and external users.
- Create applications to produce data reports.
- Ensure the integrity of data security and accuracy of data and reports.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience in systems analysis, design, and programming.
- Experience or working knowledge of PHP (Hypertext Preprocessor) based applications, Unix Web hosting paradigms and Unix command lines.
- Experience with JavaScripts: AngularJS, jQuery, Node.J, Bootstrap, HTML and CodeIgniter.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Values the contributions of others in the work environment.
Qualifications
- Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
- Bachelor's Degree in computer sciences or related field.
- Familiarity or experience with program platforms such as A11y, Dockers, RESTful APIs, SMTP, Object Oriented Programming, Tableau, and Python.
Skills
