About the Role
Oversee coding, testing, and debugging of programs according to technical and functional requirements. Lead and coordinate the development of flowcharts, diagrams, and documentation for production and end users. Direct research, analysis, and planning for software modifications and new projects. Analyze computer applications for equipment requirements, capabilities, and efficiency improvements.
Evaluate and revise database schemas, write and execute SQL code, and deploy database packages and triggers. Troubleshoot application issues by analyzing logs, system messages, and resource utilization. Coordinate schedules and programming projects with staff members. Prepare detailed analyses, plans, and verification procedures for new and existing applications.
Develop programming standards, procedures, and related reports and interfaces. Implement specialized programs to enhance system software. Recommend and implement changes to improve application and system performance. Maintain backup and restore processes to ensure business continuity. Assign, coordinate, and track the work of other team members. Consistently attend work and observe agency attendance policies. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 15+ years JAVA experience (Required)
- 10+ years SQL database experience (Required)
- 8+ years sustaining and development experience with large applications in a team setting (Required)
- 5+ years Linux experience (Required)
- 8+ years experience with Atlassian tool suite, especially JIRA (Preferred)
- 8+ years Agile methodology experience (Preferred)
- 2+ years experience transitioning applications from legacy mainframe to Java/SQL environments (Preferred)
