About the role

PURVIS is seeking a talented Software Developer to join our team. The Software Developer will work closely with a team of developers on integrated standalone applications in a Linux environment using Agile development methodologies and tools. The position requires creative thinking and problem-solving. Ideal candidates will also have strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with team members on integrated standalone applications
• Manage software tasking and tickets/repositories
• Modify existing software to correct errors, adapt to new hardware, upgrade interfaces, and/or improve performance
• Write software requirements and design documentation

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent engineering/technical degree with a concentration in computer science
• 2 to 4 years of experience in software engineering, including requirements analysis, problem analysis and resolution, design, and development
• Must be able to obtain a government security clearance to the level of SECRET

Skills

• Software experience in Q+, C++, Java
• C++ Systems Engineer, Embedded Systems Software Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, and Signal Processing
• Experience using the Qt Framework and Qt Creator IDE for developing Graphical User Interface (GUI) layouts, Real-Time UI Data Streaming, Frontend-Backend Data Interfacing, and Complex Algorithm Engineering
• Familiarity with Agile Development methodology and associated tools
• Experience using Atlassian tools a plus
