Software Design Engineer in Test 3 [AQ-11077]

About the role

In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the software quality and stability of next-generation device platforms, directly impacting the success and reliability of groundbreaking products used by hundreds of internal employees and ultimately, countless users worldwide.

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $50/hr – $54/hr. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain automated test suites designed to provision, configure, and execute software on prototype devices.
• Ensure software quality and stability across concept reference devices during the internal self-host program.
• Proactively prevent defects before release across various builds for the device family.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate test automation into the continuous integration/continuous deployment pipeline.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5-7 years of hands-on software engineering or test automation experience.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Proven experience in designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks and scripts.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

• Significant hands-on experience with provisioning and configuring devices running a widely used mobile operating system.
• Familiarity with enterprise-grade mobile operating systems, especially those built on widely used open-source foundations, is a meaningful differentiator.
• Additional years of experience beyond the minimum requirement.
