Software Craftsperson/Node.js/React.js/AI

Accountabilities

• Take ownership of designing, developing, and improving production systems while following strong engineering principles.
• Contribute across the full software development lifecycle, from understanding user needs to delivering reliable solutions.
• Build and maintain scalable full-stack applications using modern technologies, including Node.js, React.js, and AI-powered development tools.
• Apply software craftsmanship practices such as test-driven development, clean code principles, refactoring, and continuous delivery.
• Take end-to-end ownership of features, including front-end development, back-end services, infrastructure, and deployment processes.
• Collaborate through pair programming, peer reviews, and proactive teamwork to continuously improve engineering quality.
• Work closely with product teams to understand problems, define solutions, and deliver impactful features and improvements.
• Contribute to a culture of ownership, feedback, collaboration, and delivering measurable outcomes.

Requirements

• 1.5+ years of full-stack software development experience with hands-on experience building and maintaining production systems.
• Strong expertise in Node.js, React.js, and AI-related development practices.
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming, data structures, algorithms, and software engineering methodologies.
• Experience working with Agile and Extreme Programming (XP) practices in a continuous deployment environment.
• Familiarity with test-driven development, CI/CD tools, web frameworks, relational databases, and performance optimization.
• Working knowledge of server configuration, deployment infrastructure, source control, and bug tracking systems.
• Ability to write technical documentation, define problems independently, and communicate effectively.
• Strong sense of ownership, curiosity, and commitment to engineering excellence.
• Product mindset with the ability to understand customer needs and contribute beyond assigned tasks.
• Comfortable working remotely and collaborating effectively within Pacific Standard Time working hours.
