Responsibilities
- Support the establishment and maintenance of consistent and reliable system configurations.
- Possess a solid understanding of configuration management principles and a developing skillset in configuration identification, control, and auditing.
- Assist in the development and implementation of configuration management plans and procedures, ensuring adherence to organizational standards.
- Participate in configuration audits, analyzing configuration data, and contributing to the identification of areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders, effectively communicating configuration information and supporting the integration of configuration management processes into the development lifecycle.
- Support configuration management databases (CMDB), version control systems, and change management processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field or 4 years of additional experience may be exchanged in lieu of a required bachelor’s degree.
- Four (4) or more years of total professional IT experience.
- Two (2) or more years of Software Configuration Management experience.
- Experience with configuration management databases (CMDB) and tools.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git, SVN).
- and change management processes.
- ITIL Foundation certification.
Qualifications
- Experience with software development lifecycles (SDLC).
- Experience with scripting or automation tools.
- Relevant configuration management certifications (e.g., CMII).
- CompTIA Security+ or similar security certification.
- Experience at a DoD Combatant Command (e.g., SOUTHCOM, NORTHCOM, CENTCOM, CYBERCOM, INDOPACOM, EUCOM, AFRICOM, STRATCOM, TRANSCOM, SOCOM, SPACECOM) or a component is desired.
Pay
Salary range: $80,000 - $100,000 annually.
Schedule
Full-time, Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
