Job Summary
The Software Automation Engineer II -Embedded Software is responsible for designing, developing, executing, and maintaining automated s scripts and supporting tools for embedded software applications. They collaborate with software developers, s engineers, and product teams to improve software quality through effective automation.
Essential Functions
- Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated s scripts and supporting tools for embedded software applications.
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of automated s frameworks used to verify software within software-driven electro-mechanical medical devices.
- Collaborate with software developers, s engineers, and product teams to identify automation opportunities and improve s coverage.
- Support the integration and execution of automated ss within CI/CD environments.
- Review software requirements to ensure adequate verification coverage.
- Analyze s results, investigate failures, document defects, and work with engineering teams to resolve issues.
- Assist in troubleshooting automation framework, s environment, and s fixture issues.
- Participate in sprint planning, daily standups, retrospectives, and other Agile SDLC activities.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts related to sing methodologies, automation processes, and quality practices.
- Maintain clear and accurate documentation of automation frameworks, s procedures, and verification results.
- Support validation and maintenance of automated s fixtures and equipment used for software verification.
Required/Preferred Education And Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience in software development, software s automation, or software verification, or an advanced degree in lieu of professional experience.
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
- Experience programming in Python or a comparable object-oriented programming language.
- Experience developing, executing, or maintaining automated s solutions.
- Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and software sing methodologies.
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Pys or similar automated s frameworks.
- Experience sing embedded software or hardware/software integrated systems.
- Experience using SSH for remote access, automation, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with Jenkins or similar continuous integration tools.
- Familiarity with Git or similar source control systems.
- Familiarity with Google Test (gTest) framework for C++ unit sing.
- Basic networking knowledge, including TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, and network troubleshooting fundamentals.

Pay
The Annual Salary For This Position Is $96,400.00 to $107,000.00 This position is eligible for an annual bonus in accordance with the company's bonus plan. Factors which may affect starting salary include geography, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
