Software Asset Manager
We are seeking an experienced Software Asset Manager to help shape and maintain enterprise software asset governance across a complex global environment. Our team is looking for someone who can strengthen compliance, improve software investment decisions, and partner effectively across technology, legal, finance, procurement, and architecture.
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end lifecycle management of enterprise software assets from procurement through retirement.
- Manage license compliance for major publishers and support audit preparation, response, and true-up activities.
- Maintain and mature the SAM Pro module in ServiceNow, ensuring accurate entitlement, discovery, and consumption data.
- Analyze software usage to identify savings opportunities, reduce shelfware, and support rightsizing or harvesting decisions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, Finance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5+ years of experience in Software Asset Management or Licensing Management in a global enterprise environment.
- Strong working knowledge of enterprise software licensing models, including user-based, device-based, subscription, and cloud/SaaS.
- Hands-on experience with ServiceNow SAM Pro, Flexera, Snow, or similar tools.
- Familiarity with software compliance frameworks and audit response practices.
- Ability to interpret complex license agreements and translate them into actionable controls and insights.
