Software and System Architect

About the role

NVIDIA is seeking a passionate and dedicated SW & System Architect to join our SW Architecture group. You will research new technologies and define the architecture of groundbreaking solutions in networking, security, virtualization, and orchestration. The Architecture group consists of world-class architects designing next-generation DPUs & NICs technologies. This role offers the opportunity to shape the future of cloud solution stacks, from hardware to application level, including orchestration, provisioning, network programmability, and SDN. You will collaborate with global teams, including SW architects, R&D, product, solution architects, and external customers.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture for cloud-networking, including orchestration, provisioning, and security solutions
• Design innovative system architecture for DPUs & NICs technologies
• Build end-to-end solutions from application level to hardware
• Write effective, clear, and reliable architecture specifications
• Evaluate new technologies and rapidly develop POC prototypes for potential products/solutions
• Collaborate with global NVIDIA teams, including SW & HW architects, R&D, product, solution architects, and field engineers
• Work with high-profile customers on advanced and future technologies

Requirements

• B.Sc/M.Sc/PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience)
• 2+ years of experience as a SW Architect or System Architect
• 2+ years of experience as a SW developer
• Deep knowledge and experience with C and Python
• Hands-on Linux development, Docker, and container-based technologies
• Experience with cloud and data center networking
• Wide knowledge of networking protocols and common network topologies
• Strong design, coding, analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work concurrently with multiple groups locally and abroad
• Excellent communication, documentation, and presentation skills

Skills

Preferred qualifications:

• Development experience with networking/security devices (NICs, DPUs, Switches, Routers, Firewalls, etc.)
• Good understanding of operating systems and drivers
• Experience with DPDK, OVS, OVN
• Experience with Kubernetes components & subsystems, CRDs, Operators, system plugins, and CNI plugin development (Calico, Flannel)
• Experience with OpenStack/OpenShift and/or Cloud APIs

Pay

Base salary ranges:

• Level 2: 124,000 USD – 195,500 USD
• Level 3: 152,000 USD – 241,500 USD
