Software and System Architect
About the role
For our client, we are seeking a Software and System Architect to join the team of a leader in the Telecommunications & Hardware space. This role will shape advanced networking solutions that span software, systems, and hardware, with a focus on cloud and data center environments. You will define architecture for orchestration, security, and high-performance infrastructure while helping translate requirements into scalable technical designs. The position partners closely with global software, hardware, and customer-facing teams to evaluate new technologies and deliver innovative solutions. It is well suited for an architect who thrives at the intersection of networking, system design, and emerging technology. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Responsibilities
- Lead architecture for cloud networking solutions, including orchestration and security
- Design innovative system architecture for data processing units and network interface components
- Build comprehensive solutions from application level to hardware
- Write clear and effective architecture specifications
- Evaluate and prototype new technologies rapidly
- Collaborate with global teams across software and hardware domains
- Engage with high-profile customers on advanced solutions
Qualifications
- B.Sc., M.Sc., or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience
- 2+ years as a Software Architect or System Architect
- 2+ years of software development experience
- Proficient in C and Python programming languages
- Hands-on experience with Linux, Docker, and container technologies
- Experience in cloud and data center networking
- Deep understanding of networking protocols and topologies
- Strong skills in design, coding, debugging, and problem-solving
- Excellent communication and presentation skills

Pay
Compensation: $124,000 – $241,500 annually
