Software and Informatics Product Manager (Temporary)

Cellanome is hiring a 6-month temporary Software and Informatics Product Manager to support day-to-day execution for our software suite. You will own tactical delivery by driving software releases to completion and leading cross-functional groups for requirements prioritization. The role requires a good understanding of current genomic and functional methods, as well as awareness of trends in the competitive landscape. As part of the marketing team, you will contribute to customer-facing documentation and support customers and key opinion leaders (KOLs) to ensure their success and showcase Cellanome products.
You will collaborate closely with Software & Bioinformatics, R&D, Operations, and Commercial teams.
Responsibilities
- Launch execution: Drive software releases through to completion by coordinating cross-functional readiness, tracking open items, and unblocking the team. Own relevant documentation, including release notes and user guides.
- User needs & prioritization: Gather, document, and prioritize requirements for software releases. Work with engineering and R&D to translate customer and field input into a clear backlog. Partner across the core team on cross-functional trade-off decisions.
- Cross-functional coordination: Work with product management counterparts and software teams to keep the roadmap on track. Flag trade-offs and decisions that need broader input.
- Voice of customer: Stay involved with customer and field feedback by joining select customer calls and feedback sessions. Route findings to the right owners.
- Field support: Answer field team questions and support commercial activities as needed. Help maintain existing training, sales tools, and collateral.
Ability to work in front of a computer screen and/or perform typing for approximately 90% of a typical working day.
Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 6 years with a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 3 years of experience; or equivalent experience.
- Technical knowledge of genomic, functional, and/or single-cell analysis tools.
- Experience developing and launching successful products in the life science software space.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to perform essential duties with or without reasonable accommodations.
Preferred Qualifications
- PhD strongly preferred.
- Multi-omic and live cell biology experience.
- Experience leading global SaaS solutions with regulatory compliance and data privacy requirements.
- Experience working across applications, including web lab tools.
Pay
The estimated base salary range for this position is $120,000 - $180,000/year. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
