SOESD - School Psychologist

About the role

The Southern Oregon Education Service District's psychological services department is seeking to expand and recruit additional colleagues who wish to work with a supportive team in the Rogue Valley, which has been voted one of the best places to live in America. Our team is supervised by a school psychologist administrator who supports NASP's Model for Comprehensive and Integrated School Psychological Services.

Essential Functions

  • Provide psychological assessments and written reports.
  • Provide consultation to teachers regarding instructional, behavioral, and social interventions.
  • Provide crisis intervention and short-term counseling.
  • Provide staff development in-services concerning assessment, instruction, and intervention strategies.
  • Aid schools in multidisciplinary, IEP, placement, intervention, and other educational decisions.
  • Communicate clearly and appropriately and make independent decisions within established policies and procedures.
  • Establish and maintain positive, flexible, and cooperative relationships with ESD and local district staff.
  • Prepare accountability records regarding services provided.
  • Participate in professional growth activities.
  • Comply with local district and ESD rules and policies.

Minimum Prerequisites

  • Oregon Personnel Services license with School Psychologist endorsement.
  • Master's degree in school/educational psychology from an accredited college or university.

In person, at assigned school(s).

Length of Position

190 days (academic year)

Salary

Per Collective Bargaining Agreement: $62,576.96 to $107,893.12 annually for 2026-2027 school year.

  • Southern Oregon ESD contributes up to $2182.00 per month (family coverage) for health, dental, and vision insurance premiums for qualified employees.
