Description of work

This position oversees social services for residents and provides leadership within the department to support quality care. As a Social Worker Supervisor, you will perform the following duties:

• Department Oversight: Supervise social services operations, direct counseling, and lead case management activities
• Service Administration: Maintain complete records of social services and oversee functions related to admissions, transfers, and discharges
• Care Plan Participation: Attend interdisciplinary meetings, complete resident assessments, and integrate assessments into care plans
• Grievance Management: Coordinate grievance processes and ensure follow through based on facility policy
• Resident Counseling: Provide counseling to residents and families using appropriate treatment approaches
• Staff Collaboration: Promote teamwork, support training needs, and represent the department on committees

Work schedule and additional information

• Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
• Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch
• Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position

Minimum experience and training requirements

• One year of experience as a Social Worker 2 or a Forensic Social Worker 2 (Commonwealth job titles or equivalent Federal Government job titles, as determined by the Office of Administration); and a master's degree in social work or social welfare; or
• Three years of professional social work experience, including one year in a consultative, administrative, advisory, or lead work capacity; and a master's degree in social work or social welfare

Condition of employment

You must possess a valid license as a Licensed Social Worker or Licensed Clinical Social Worker issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Social Workers, Marriage and Family Therapists and Professional Counselors.
