About the role
The Social Worker Senior performs a full range of clinical services related to the care and treatment of adult psychiatric patients as defined by the scope of practice. Provides ongoing treatment to caseload of patients utilizing a variety of skilled therapeutic techniques. Provides psychiatric social services to patients and their families in cases where specific problems related to environmental and/or psychological aspects influence the effective utilization of inpatient or outpatient treatment. Performs related functions as required. The Social Worker Senior may supervise student practicum placements and provide clinical supervision, if applicable. The Social Worker Senior provides coverage when the Active Treatment Coordinator is unavailable.
Responsibilities
- Provide ongoing treatment to caseload of adult psychiatric patients utilizing a variety of skilled therapeutic techniques
- Provide psychiatric social services to patients and families where environmental/psychological issues affect inpatient or outpatient treatment effectiveness
- Supervise student practicum placements and provide clinical supervision, if applicable
- Provide coverage when Active Treatment Coordinator is unavailable
- Perform related functions as required
Requirements
- MSW (Master of Social Work)
- Certified Social Work (CSW) or temporary permit through the Commonwealth of Kentucky Board of Social Work
- No prior related experience required
Qualifications
- Compassionate, honest, trustworthy, and strong work ethic
- Ability to work in a team environment while also taking direction and communicating effectively with staff, patients, and family members independently
- Confidence and comfort working in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills
- Basic computer navigation skills and working knowledge of the Internet
- One year of experience preferred
Pay & Schedule
- Salary range: $27.05-45.70/hour
- Full-time position
- Day shift
Physical requirements
- Occasionally sitting at a computer workstation for extended periods of time
- Performing tasks with repetitive motions (such as typing)
- Standing or walking with objects weighing up to 25 pounds
- Exposure to loud noises, temperature extremes, hazardous chemicals and fumes including waste, blood-borne or airborne pathogens, and combative/violent people
