About the role
Under the Director of Social Work, this incorporates social work functions and skills into the inpatient hospital setting. Medical Social Workers serve as integral members of interdisciplinary healthcare teams, providing essential support to individuals facing health-related challenges. They bridge the gap between medical professionals and patients, ensuring that emotional, social, and practical needs are addressed alongside medical treatment.
Requirements
- Minimum: Master’s degree in social work
- Preferred: 3 years’ post‑graduate experience
Qualifications
- Minimum: NYS Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) Limited Permit – those hired with a limited permit must obtain full licensure within 1 year of receiving the limited permit.
- Preferred: NYS Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW)

Pay
Compensation Range: $30.58 - $45.86 per hour, depending on experience.
Schedule
This is a per diem position, which means you will work on an as needed, agreed upon basis. Working hours will be assigned by your manager.
