Responsibilities
- Provide emotional support, crisis intervention, and counseling for pediatrics, adolescents, adults, older adults, and their significant others to cope with a variety of social and emotional problems.
- Offer information, referral services, and referrals for financial assistance and supportive services to patients and families dealing with hospitalization, illness, disability, or trauma.
- Perform case management and milieu management, complete psychosocial assessments, and assist in the development and re-evaluation of treatment plans.
- Work as a member of a multidisciplinary team and coordinate discharge planning.
- Complete necessary documentation and maintain clinical records for each client during their length of stay.
Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Social Work or related field, OR Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or related field.
- In states without required licensure, current registration with the State Board is required within 3 months of hire. In states with required licensure, the license is required at the time of hire and must be maintained.
- Minimum one (1) year of hospital or outpatient experience with an emphasis in mental health care.
- Experience working with a diverse population facing a wide range of problems (e.g., death and dying, maternal and child care, substance abuse, disability, chronic illness).
Preferred: Current BCLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.

Pay
A reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $30.58 to $44.29 per hour. The exact starting compensation will be determined based on factors such as skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials, and licensure.
