Social Worker

About the role

The New York State Unified Court System is seeking a Resource Coordinator I (Social Work) in the New Rochelle City Court in Westchester County, NY. This position will be assigned to the Westchester Problem Solving Unit and will be primarily assigned to the Opportunity Youth Part in New Rochelle City Court to support the daily operation of this emerging young adult court part.

Responsibilities

• Serving as the court point of contact for this part
• Maintaining constant communication with providers
• Assisting with data collection and preparing court reports
• Reporting participant compliance with programs in court and making recommendations to the court based on progress
• Conducting some case management functions including interviewing participants and making referrals to services in the community
• Conducting observed toxicology testing as needed
• Facilitating pre court staffing meetings
• Performing community outreach to raise awareness of this court
• Performing any other functions as needed in the Westchester County Problem Solving Court programming
• Regularly interfacing with State and local service agencies and will continue to work on program development
• Travel throughout the district may be required

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university and one (1) year of satisfactory full-time experience in social casework with a recognized public or private agency adhering to accepted professional standards; or
• Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor Trainee (CASAC-T) and two (2) years of satisfactory full-time experience in social casework with a recognized public or private agency adhering to accepted professional standards; or
• An equivalent combination of education and experience

Pay

Base Salary: $61,424 + $4,920 Location Pay
