Social Worker
Job Summary
GGRC is hiring Social Workers in our San Rafael Office to assist people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The role offers a hybrid schedule, combining in-home visits, office work, and remote support.
What You'll Do
- Assess the needs of developmentally disabled individuals and their families and develop and implement the Individual Program Plan.
- Coordinate associated services and manage a wide range of active cases.
- Initiate and terminate regional center funding and ensure purchased services are provided.
- Prepare required reports and documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
- Maintain records in compliance with federal and state requirements.
- Act as an advocate for individuals supported and their families to secure entitlements and client rights.
- Encourage individuals supported and their families to utilize available community resources and review and ensure appropriate services.
- Initiate referrals and monitor progress of vendored services, evaluating their effectiveness.
- Identify community service needs or gaps and assist in developing needed services and improving service quality.
- Provide intake and outreach services as assigned.
- Participate in internal and community committees and task forces as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited school in social welfare or a related human services field (preferred but not required).
- Demonstrated interest in working with persons with developmental special needs.
- Reliable transportation.
