About the role
This part time (24 hours) role will be split between two facilities: Arden Dialysis at 2623 Hendersonville Rd, Arden, NC 28704 and Brevard Dialysis at 102 College Station Dr #10, Brevard, NC 28712.
Responsibilities
- Support and advocate for patients undergoing dialysis
- Help patients understand their rights and responsibilities
- Guide patients in managing the physical, mental, emotional, and financial demands of End Stage Renal Disease
Requirements
- Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) with a specialization in clinical practice
- Demonstrated knowledge of government and private insurance programs
- Basic computer skills in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Functional proficiency with DaVita specific applications within 60 days
Qualifications
- Meets all state required regulations to practice in the dialysis setting
Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with patients and their families
- Knowledge of end-stage renal disease management
