Social Worker

About the role

The social worker is responsible for providing complex social services to patients and their families from admission through discharge, collaborating closely with the interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent (required)
• Degree in social work (dependent on licensure requirements)
• Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) or Licensed Baccalaureate Social Worker (LBSW) with at least two years of social work experience (required)
• Current licensure in the state of Texas (must be maintained)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required within 90 days)
• SAFE Level III Training Course completion (required within six months)

Requirements

• Preferred: 1 year as Healthcare/Medical Social Worker
• Preferred: 1 year as Healthcare/Medical Case Manager
• Preferred: 2 years counseling experience
