About the role
This position provides leadership, direction, orientation, coaching, in-service training, staff development, and continuing education programs for assigned social work staff. The role is responsible for performing social work assessments and interventions for inpatients, outpatients, and emergency department patients. This is a patient-care position.
Responsibilities
- Provide supervision to interns, LCSWs, and other staff in the absence of a Manager and/or Supervisor.
- Conduct psychosocial assessments of patients and families with social, emotional, interpersonal, and/or environmental issues.
- Formulate biopsychosocial assessments, disposition, and treatment plans.
- Perform mandated assessments when abuse is suspected (child, disabled adult, elder) and specialized safety assessments when violence is suspected.
- Plan discharge from care facility to home or other care facility.
- Collaborate with other professionals to evaluate patients' medical or physical condition and assess client needs as part of the interdisciplinary team.
- Monitor, evaluate, and record client progress according to measurable goals described in the treatment and care plan.
- Apply therapeutic behavioral interventions, replacement skill-building strategies, crisis assessment, management, and interventions.
- Maintain strong knowledge of HIPAA, Patient Rights & Responsibilities, Joint Commission standards, and Centers for Medicare/Medicaid regulations.
- Complete required documentation and paperwork, including biopsychosocial assessments and treatment planning, in a timely manner.
- Communicate and resolve issues effectively with a broad population of patients, staff, and physicians.
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team with a varied population of clients.
- Demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills to guide peers.
- Exemplify expert depth of specialized clinical diagnoses and interventions, routinely sought for consultation on complex cases and conflict resolution.
- Act as a role model, mentoring staff on clinical assessment, diagnostic skills, and advanced utilization of clinical interventions.
- Lead or actively participate in clinical practice inquiries, teaching, projects, or research.
- Participate in recruitment, onboarding, and retention processes.
- Lead department/service initiatives and participate in initiatives at an Enterprise and Professional Association level.
- Use data to define baseline issues and measure progress.
- Oversee collaboration and education among all disciplines and outside stakeholders to enhance patient care.
Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Social Work or Master’s Degree in Mental Health required. No experience accepted in lieu of a degree.
- Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW - MA) or Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC - MA) preferred.
- 5-7 years of clinical social work experience required.
- Completed LICSW/LMHC/LMFT requirements.

Pay
Pay range: $100,484.80 - $146,224.00/Annual (full-time). Pay will be prorated for part-time roles.
