About the role

Grove City College invites applications for a full-time Professor (open rank) and Program Director in our accredited Social Work (BSW) program. The successful candidate will be able to teach, advise, and provide leadership to our undergraduate program. We seek someone with teaching and practice experience who desires to be part of a Christ-centered community that emphasizes academic excellence. Our program strives to train students in all aspects of generalist practice while also helping them to deeply explore the discipline as persons of faith.

Responsibilities

• Teach macro-level practice and a senior Capstone course that involves mentoring student research projects (qualitative or quantitative).
• Provide leadership and direction to the undergraduate Social Work program.
• Advise students and contribute to the academic and spiritual development of students within a Christ-centered framework.
• Engage in faculty research and publication, supported by the college.

Qualifications

• Master of Social Work (MSW) from a CSWE-accredited institution.
• Minimum of two years of post-graduate practice experience.
• Preference given to candidates with a doctorate in Social Work or ABD status.
• Evidence of teaching efficacy at the undergraduate level.
• A strong, demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the Statement of Faith and Christian mission and vision of Grove City College.
