About the role

In this role, you’ll help us make sure the Council’s contracts deliver real benefits for local communities. This includes supporting work with suppliers and partners to create opportunities such as jobs, support for community projects, and environmental initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Support work with suppliers and partners to create opportunities such as jobs, support for community projects, and environmental initiatives.
• Gain experience working with a wide range of colleagues, including commissioning, procurement and contract management teams, as well as local businesses and community organisations.
• Study towards the Level 4 Corporate Responsibility & Sustainability Practitioner apprenticeship.
• Receive free affiliate membership of the Institute of Sustainability and Environmental Professionals while studying.

• Organised, motivated, and creative.
• Good communication skills.
• A desire to make a positive difference in local communities.

Qualifications

This role is ideal for someone with a genuine interest in sustainability and social impact who is keen to learn and build their career in the public sector.

Skills

£26,514 - £29,090 per annum
