Social Services Worker ll

Fayette County Department of Job and Family Services is seeking a Social Services Worker II for Child Protective Services in Washington Court House, OH.

About the Role

Provide case work services to children and families through the effective implementation of federal and state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Receive, document, and screen allegations of child abuse or neglect
• Investigate allegations and complete assessments
• Interview children, families, and other parties
• Maintain a caseload of families and children requiring protective assistance
• Develop and implement plans for ongoing safety
• Provide adoption and post-adoption services to children and families
• Requires extensive travel within and/or beyond the county or state limits
• Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or related human services field
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient computer skills
• Valid Driver’s License and dependable vehicle
• Must maintain insurability under the county’s vehicle insurance policy
• Ability to cope with diverse environments, health hazards, and personal safety issues, including aggressive behaviors

Pay

$20.87 – $26.05 per hour
